Peer support workers are individuals with personal experience of mental health problems who are trained and employed to support others in their recovery.

Individuals taking the course should have personal experience in dealing with mental health problems and be able to provide evidence of good written and oral communication skills through interview or by producing relevant qualifications.

Given these requirements the Peer2Peer course is designed to build on individual’s personal experience and equip them with the knowledge, skills and values to carry out the role of Peer Support Worker.
